Indian Maritime University Common Entrance Test 2011

Indian Maritime University announces conduct of Common Entrance Test (CET) December 2010 for admission to “Diploma in Nautical Science leading to B.Sc. (Nautical Science) February 2011 Batch”.
IMU CET 2011
Educational Qualification:
1. Pass in 10+2 examination from a recognized Board / University with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM), with not less than 55% aggregate marks in PCM. OR With Physics as an individual subject in any one of the years of B.Sc., with not less than 50% marks in the final year of B.Sc., from a recognized University provided that the candidate must have passed 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) from a recognized Board. OR B.E. /B. Tech. or equivalent degree from I.I.T. or from a college recognized by AICTE/UGC.
2. Should have passed with not less than 50% marks in English as a separate subject, at either 10th or 12th standard or in the Degree programme conducted by a recognized Board University.
IMU CET 2011 Age Limit:  Not more than 25 years. The age limit is relaxable by 2 years in case of female candidates and 5 years for SC/ST candidates.
The IMU CET 2011 Applications form:  The IMU CET 2011 Applications can be downloaded from the IMU official website. Such downloaded applications are to be submitted along with the demand draft valued Rs.800/ (Rs.450/ for SC/ST candidates) drawn in favor of “Indian Maritime University” payable at Chennai.

Last Date for receipt of filled in IMU CET 2011 applications at IMU – Chennai:          30.11.2010
IMU CET 2011 Common Entrance Test will be held on: 19.12.2010 ()
IMU CET Counseling Dates –                                           20 & 21 January 2011
Course Commencing on Feb 4, 2011
