National Board of Examinations FMGE September - 2013 SCREENING TEST

The next session of the FMG exam shall be conducted by the National Board of Examinations on 29th September, 2013, Sunday at New Delhi
As per the Screening Test Regulations 2002, an Indian citizen possessing a primary medical qualification awarded by any medical. Institution outside India who is desirous of getting provisional or permanent registration with the Medical Council of India or State Medical Council on or after shall have to qualify the Foreign Medical Graduate (FMG) Examination (Screening Test).
(The next session of the FMG Exam shall be conducted by the National Board of Examinations on Sunday the 29th September, 2013 at New Delhi.
The eligibility of the candidate shall be governed by the Screening Test Regulations and Eligibility Certificate Regulations, issued by Medical Council of India
For details of the scheme of examination, eligibility criteria, fee structure and application forms, candidates are advised to refer to the Information Bulletin cum
Application, Form downloaded (27.05.2013 onwards) from the website OR Obtained on cash payment of Rs.750/- from   selected   branches   of Indian Bank (03.06.2013 onwards).
Examination Fee can be paid through cash deposit along with prescribed challan / pay in slip (Download from website) at all branches of Indian Bank & Axis Bank.
Duly completed application form along with examination fee receipt can be submitted to the office of NBE latest by 30th June, 2013. (Last date of submission with late fee is 12.07.2013).
Note: Possession/use of Mobile Phones/Electronic Devices is strictly prohibited in the premises of NBE I Examination Centres and candidates shall be liable for the penal action for any such act.

VIT University (VITU), Vellore


Master's degree in the relevant discipline of Science with a first class (or a minimum of 60% marks/CGPA treated on par with Indian nationals for purposes of admission to the Institute.
Foreign nationals with foreign degrees must meet the minimum educational requirements as given in Section 2. Their degrees must be equivalent to Indian degrees mentioned in Section 2 in Engineering / Technology / Science and they should have a good academic record. International Students are expected to have a good working knowledge of English. Candidates with valid GRE and TOEFL scores will be given preference. The case of each foreign applicant will be examined and direct admission will be offered purely on merit.
Selection Procedure: The candidates, who satisfy the criteria prescribed, will be called for the written test (VITMEE) which will be conducted at selected centres across India. Candidates can choose an appropriate subject in VITMEE based on their background and their potential research interests. Based on the performance in VITMEE, those candidates who satisfy the prescribed criteria and who have also secured more than the cut off score would be called for a personal interview to assess the technical skills, research and analytical aptitude and communication skills of the candidates. Final selection will be based on the previous academic records and the performances in the written test and interview.

Faculty of Medical Sciences (DU) Super Specialty (DM/MCh) Courses Entrance Test - SET 2013


The Faculty of Medical Sciences (FMSC) of the University Of Delhi (DU) will conduct entrance tests (SET 2013) on 1st June and 2nd June, 2013 for admission to its super specialty courses:
  1. DM (Doctorate of Medicine)
The DM is a three-year super specialty program in medicine. The entry requirement for this course is an MD (Doctor of Medicine) or DNB (Diplomate of National Board).
  1. MCh (Magister Chirurgiae or Master of Chirurgical)
The MCh is a three-year super specialty program in surgery. The entry requirement for this course is an MS (Master of Surgery) or DNB (Diplomate of National Board).

(ii) By post: Pay Rs 2,550 and send a self addressed envelope (10" X 8") that reaches the office of the deputy registrar before 12th April, 2013 to obtain the application form and bulletin by post.
The payment must be made by a demand draft (MICR bank draft) or a banker's cheque drawn on any nationalized bank in favour of the Registrar, University of Delhi payable at Delhi. The candidate should write his name, address and telephone number at the back of the bank draft / banker's cheque. The candidate should save a photocopy of the bank draft/banker's cheque.
Candidates who want to apply for more than one course need to pay an additional amount of Rs 500.

Birla Institute of Technology Mesra MCA Exam for Admission to 2013


Candidates interested in applying to Birla Institute of Technology's (BIT) Master in Computer Applications (MCA) programme must take the BIT Mesra MCA exam 2013 in early June.
The MCA programme is offered at Birla Institute of Technology's Allahabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lalpur, Noida and Mesra campuses. The full-time course generally takes three years (six semesters) to complete.
Ø       Candidates must have the following in order to apply for admission to the MCA programme:
Ø       Minimum marks of 50% (45% for Schedule Castes/Schedule Tribes candidates) in the average of all class 10 subjects.
Ø       Minimum marks of 50% (45% for SC/ST candidates) in the average of all class 12/equivalent exam subjects. One of these subjects should be maths, computer science or information practices.
Ø       Bachelor's degree or equivalent from a recognised university. The degree should have taken at least three years after the 10+2 (in the 10+2+3 system).
Ø       One of the following:
Ø       Bachelor of Science (BSc) in math or statistics as a graduate-level subject
Ø       BSc in Computer Science/Information Technology/Electronics
Ø       BSc Honours candidates should have at least 50% (45% for SC/ST candidates) in the honours subject. BCA graduates or other graduates should have a minimum of 50% (45% for SC/ST candidates) on average upon graduation (the average marks for all subjects).
Ø       Final-year bachelor's students may apply, provided they have the minimum marks according to their latest grades. Provisional admission is available if these candidates are selected. Additional documents are then needed upon admission.
Ø       Their programme is Distance Education Council - Indira Gandhi National Open University (DEC-IGNOU) recognized.
Ø       They passed the qualifying exam with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST candidates) when applying.
Candidates currently enrolled in distance learning programmes who have not yet received results are ineligible to apply.
In order to apply for the programme, candidates must submit the online application and send the application printout. The printout will need other additions - two recent colour photographs, photocopies of necessary documents and a demand draft drawn in favour of Birla Institute of Technology, payable at Ranchi. The application printout should be sent by speed post to Dean, Admission & Academic Coordination, Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, Ranchi - 835215. You may only apply to a maximum of three campuses in your application. Fees for the test are explained below.

All India Bar Examination (AIBE) 2013


The Bar Council of India (BCI) has notified that it will conduct the fifth All India Bar Examination (AIBE-V) on 14th July, 2013. The exam aims to assess a lawyer's capabilities to practice law in India and intends to set a minimum standard for admission to the practice of law in India. The exam addresses a candidate's analytical abilities and basic knowledge of law.
All law students graduating from academic year 2009-10 onwards have had to clear the exam to practice law in India. There is no limit to the number of times you can appear for the All India Bar Examination.

NDA Entrance Exam (II) 2013 National Defence Academy


The Union Public Service Commission will hold the National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination (II), 2013 on 11th  August, 2013 for admission to Army and Air Force wings of NDA for 132nd Course, and for the 94th Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC) commencing from 2nd July, 2014
The candidates Joining Indian Naval Academy would undergo 4 years BTech course and would be given an opportunity to join Executive and Technical Branches of the Navy subject to availability of vacancies
Army Wing of National Defence Academy: 12th class pass of the 10+2 pattern of school education or equivalent examination conducted by a state education board or a university Air Force and Naval Wing of National Defence Academy and 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy: 12th class pass of the 10+2 pattern of school education or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics conducted by a State Education Board or a University
Candidates who are appearing in the 12th class under the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination can also apply for this examination
Those candidates who have yet to qualify in the 12th class or equivalent examination and are allowed to appear in the UPSC examination should note that this is only a special concession given to them
They are required to submit proof of passing the 12th class or equivalent examination by 05th December, 2013

Fee: Candidates (excepting female SC/ST/PH candidates/ Sons of JCOs/NCOs/ORs specified in Note 2 in the notification who are exempted from payment of fee) are required to pay a fee of Rs. 200/- (Rupees one hundred only) either by depositing the money in any Branch of SBI by cash, or by using net banking facility of State Bank of India/ State Bank of Bikaner and Jaipur/ Sate Bank of Hyderabad/State Bank of Mysore/State Bank of Patiala /State Bank of Travancore or by using Visa/Master Credit/Debit Card
For the applicants in whose case payments details have not been received from the bank they will be treated as fictitious payment cases and a list of all such applicants shall be made available on the commission website within two weeks after the last day of submission of online application
The applicants shall be required to submit the proof of their fee payment within 10 days from the date of such communication either by hand or by speed post to the commission
On receipt of documentary proof, genuine fee payment cases will be considered and their applications will be revived, if they are otherwise eligible
How to Apply:
Selection Procedure: The Union Public Service Commission shall prepare a list of candidates who obtain the minimum qualifying marks in the written examination as fixed by the commission at their discretion
Such candidates shall appear before a Services Selection Board for Intelligence and Personality Test where candidates for the Army/Navy wings of the NDA and 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme of Indian Naval Academy will be assessed on Officers Potentiality and those for the Air Force in Pilot Aptitude Test and for Officers Potentiality
PABT applicable to candidates with Air Force as first choice would also be conducted for all SSB qualified candidates with one of the choice as Air Force subject to their eligibility and if they are so willing
Two-stage selection procedure based on Psychological Aptitude Test and Intelligence Test has been introduced at Selection Centers/Air Force Selection Boards
All the candidates will be put to stage one test on first day of reporting at Selection Centers/Air Force Selection Boards
Only those candidates who qualify at stage one will be admitted to the second stage/remaining tests
Those candidates who qualify stage II will be required to submit the original certificates along with one photocopy each of (I) original matriculation pass certificate or equivalent in support of date of birth, (ii) original 10+2 pass certificate or equivalent in support of educational qualification
The candidates applying for the examination should ensure that they fulfil all eligibility conditions for admission to the examination
Their admission at all the stages of the examination will be purely provisional subject to satisfying the prescribed eligibility conditions
