15 Months - Global Management Programme (GMP) [Full Time], About the Programme:  The Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar (XIMB) has been accorded the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) certification for conducting a 15 month, full-time residential Global Management Programme (GMP) for Working Professionals. This course is tailor- made and caters to the middle and senior level Management Professionals. The objective of the Programme is to prepare bright and eager participants with potential for senior management positions. The focus would be on general management studies and practices with emphasis on International Exposure and Global Business trends and skills.

Eligibility Criteria for GMP Admission:-

ü       A minimum three-year Bachelors Degree (or equivalent) in any discipline from a recognized University in India/abroad
ü       A minimum 5 years of work experience  (full-time employment)
ü       GMAT with a score of 600 or above secured in the immediate past three years

ü       Case/study/group discussion
ü       Personal Interview

The Programme comprises of 4 Terms of approximately 13 weeks each, with the remaining period for an International Immersion Programme for 3 weeks in Europe and/or USA in an affiliated University and an Intensive Research Project (IRP) which is a mandatory requirement for the fulfillment of the Programme. The course structure envisages a very rigorous schedule of classes consisting of compulsory courses and electives. The participants may exercise their choice of electives when they come to Term III. The entire Programme would be designed to have a global perspective so that the participants after completing it may be fitted into organizations at the middle and senior levels ready to operate in an international environment. The Programme will be conducted by the Faculty of the Institute as well as by Visiting Faculty from India and abroad.

Fellow Programme in Management (FPM)

Eligibility for FPM Admission: XIMB's FPM draws upon national and global experience in doctoral-level education in management as well as other change-oriented disciplines. The programme's emphasis is on building research competencies relevant to management. The programme is also designed to serve as a venue for ongoing conversations regarding management research. The programme curriculum includes Research Training Seminars conducted throughout the academic year, facilitated by in-house and visiting researchers. Students are required to develop deep understanding in the areas of research selected by them. This is tested through the Research Review Seminars delivered by the students. They also get a structured exposure to management topics, develop professional skills, and participate in the Institute's research activities. Overall, the FPM is oriented towards developing the requisite competencies relevant to management research, education, and service.

The programme is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), a statutory body of the Government of India, vide their letter number 431/36-11/(MCP)(M)/95, dated February 17, 2007 and 431/36-11(MCP)(M)/95, dated May 8, 2008.

How to apply: Applicants have to apply (online) for XIMB's Fellow Programme in Management at: www.ximb.ac.in . Upon successfully filling up the online Application Form the Payment Advice Form can be downloaded. The applicant must take a printout of the same Payment Advice Form and mail it to the Admissions Office, Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar-751013, accompanied by the application fee (non-refundable) in one of the following ways:
ü       Original Bank remittance slip, after depositing Rs 1000/- (in cash) at any State Bank of India core branch in the Current A/c No 30834687536 of Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar;
OR
ü       A Demand Draft for Rs 1000/- made out in favour of Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar.

On receipt of the DD or Bank Remittance Slip / Counterfoil for the required amount and the Payment Advice Form, the Bulletin 2011 will be mailed to the applicant. The last date for applying online is December 5, 2010, and for receiving the application fee it is December 10, 2010

The acceptance of the XIMB application registered online will be subject to the receipt of the application fee and the completed Payment Advice Form by XIMB. Upon receipt of the payment the eligible applicants will be intimated by e-mail about the acceptance of their applications.

Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM)

Eligibility for PGDM Admission:  The minimum requirement for admission to the Programme is a three-year Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in any discipline from a recognised university. Candidates who expect to complete the final part of their degree examinations by June 15, 2011, can also apply. Offers of admission to such candidates, if made, will be provisional and will be automatically cancelled in the event of their failing to complete all the requirements for obtaining the degree before June 15.

Admission Test: - Applicants are required to take the Admission Test (XAT) to be conducted by XLRI, Jamshedpur, on 2nd January, 2011. For this, applicants have to log on to http://www.xlri.net.in/ and apply online for XAT. Registering for XAT is a prerequisite for applying to XIMB.

XIMB Admission Application:-  Applicants also have to apply (online) separately for XIMB programme at: www.ximb.ac.in upon successfully filling the online application form, the Payment Advice Form can be downloaded. The applicant must take a printout of the same payment advice form and mail it to the Admissions Office, Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar-751013, accompanied by the application fee (non-refundable) in one of the following ways:

Selection Process:- The Institute will decide the section-wise as well as total cut-off marks which will be used for short-listing the candidates to be called for Group Discussion and Personal Interview. GD & PI will be held in Bangalore, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Mumbai. Candidates will have to meet their own travel expenses for appearing in the GD & PI. The final selection will be made on the basis of the candidate's performance in the XAT as well as in the Group Discussion and Personal Interview (which factors in the past academic record and relevant work experience). The selected candidates will be informed by mail by the first week of April 2011.

Admission: The programme will begin by the middle of June 2011 for the first year students. At this time the students will be given a Manual of Policies and Regulations which will be binding on them.

Post Graduate Diploma in Rural Management (PGDM RM)

Eligibility for PGDMRM Admission:- The minimum requirement for admission to the Programme is a three-year Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in any discipline from a recognised university. Candidates who expect to complete the final part of their degree examinations by June 15, 2011 can also apply. Offers of admission to such candidates, if made, will be provisional and will be automatically cancelled in the event of their failing to complete all the requirements for obtaining the degree before June 15.

Applicants are required to take one of the Admission Tests:

1.      The test to be conducted by Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA), on November 14, 2010OR

Three-year part-time programme (PGDM-PT) for Working Executives

Eligibility for PGDMPT Admission:- The minimum requirements for admission to the three-year part-time PGDM Admission programme are:
1.      A three-year Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) in any discipline from a recognised University
2.      At least three years of experience in executive capacity in an organisation of repute in the public, private or non-governmental sector. Self-employed persons with a minimum of five years experience after obtaining a qualifying degree can also be considered.
3.      Age limit: Completed 24 years as on 01.07.2011
4.      Sponsorship or No Objection certificate from the employer for pursuing this course at XIMB

Application Procedure for Admission:- Applicants have to apply online for the XIMB programme by logging on to www.ximb.ac.in . Upon successfully filling up the online application form the Payment Advice Form can be downloaded. The applicant must take a printout of the same payment advice and mail it to the Admissions Office, Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar-751013, accompanied by the application fee (non-refundable) in one of the following forms:

Selection Process: The eligible candidates will be called for a Group Discussion and Personal Interview session in Bangalore, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata or Mumbai. Screening for interview will be based on the candidate's past academic performance and relevant work experience. Candidates will have to meet their own travel expenses. Selected candidates will be informed by mail before April 15, 2011.

Programme Design: This three-year part-time programme is designed for executives, working anywhere in the country. The curriculum is as rigorous as our two-year full-time PGDM programme. The participants will reside in the campus for about 15 days at a time, thrice a year (45 days in a year). In the intervening period, they are expected to complete the assigned readings and projects.

Admission: The Programme will begin around the first week of July 2011. At this time the students will be given a Manual of Policies which will be binding on them.
