Admission Notice 2010- 2011 in Symbiosis Institute of Operations Management, SIOM, Nasik

MBA (Operations Management) (Residential) 2-years full time 120 Seats

Eligibility: Engineering Graduates from recognized university with minimum 50% aggregate marks (all years put together) or equivalent grades. For SC/ST candidates minimum marks are 45%. Graduates from part time, distance learning and correspondence courses are not eligible. Final year students can apply subject to their fulfilling the eligibility latest by 30th September 2011.

Note: It is the responsibility of the candidates to ascertain whether they posses the requisite qualifications for admission. Having been admitted provisionally does not mean acceptance of eligibility. Final eligibility for admission will be decided by SIU. Reservations: As per University norms.

Selection Procedure: STAGE I: SNAP Written test - Interested candidates must appear for the Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP test) on 19th December 2010. SNAP test registration is a must.

STAGE II: Group Discussions and Personal Interviews (Nashik) - Candidates from the first stage will be short listed on the basis of SNAP score for Group Discussions and thereafter they will appear if short listed for Personal Interviews. GDPI are expected to be held during 2nd / 3rd week of February. 2011.

STAGE III: Those short listed from Stage II will be issued Admission Offer letters as per the Merit List. The Merit list shall be declared to the students on the website on February 26, 2011.

STAGE IV: Payment of Fees and confirmation of admission – Candidates on final Merit list must complete their admission by paying the first installment of fees latest by 12th March, 2011.  Admissions from waitlist will be announced on 14th March, 2011. Such candidates must pay fees latest by 26th March, 2011. Further vacancies if any will be announced on the website.

How to Apply: STEP I: Appear for the SNAP test on Sunday, 19th December 2010. For this you will have to register online at www.snaptest.org before 26th November 2010. STEP II: SIOM online registration. After applying for the SNAP, the candidate can register online for SIOM The candidate can register from the SNAP website or from the SIOM website. The Registration fees of Rs. 1000/- should be paid online through one of the various modes of payment as specified in detail on the website. In certain cases where online payment is not possible candidates can also pay the registration fees by way of demand draft. The demand draft should be in favor of “Director, Symbiosis Institute of Operations Management”, payable at Nashik main branch. The demand draft along with the duly filled in and signed admission form should reach the following address on or before 15^th January, 2011 (5.00 pm).

STEP III: The candidate to take the printout of the filled form and sign on the same. The candidate must send the hard copy of the form duly signed before the specified date to SIOM. It is mandatory for the candidate to send the hard copy of the form.

SIOM online registration and payment closes: 22nd January 2011 (Saturday) (DD payments on or before Saturday, January 15, 2011)

Last date of fees payment: 12th March 2011 (Saturday)

Course commencement: 06th June 2011 (Monday)
