The candidates will have to apply separately at XISS, Ranchi. A candidate can apply for maximum any 02 (Two) specializations. The institute will accept only online registrations. Candidates will have to submit separate application for different entrance exams ie if a candidate wants to apply through both XAT 2014 and CAT 2013, s/he will have to submit two different online applications at XISS by making separate payments for both the applications. Application fee is Rs 1,500 + Service Charges for One Specialization and Rs 2000 + Services Charges for Two Specialization. Application fee can be paid online through net banking / debit card / credit card or any other online option. Application fee can also be paid via bank draft, drawn in favour of "Xavier Institute of Social Service" payable at Ranchi. Joint Graduate Entrance Examination in Biology and Interdisciplinary Life Sciences (JGEEBILS) 2013

The JGEEBILS is a shared entrance test for several institutions doing research in Biology and Interdisciplinary Life Sciences. The test is coordinated by TIFR. All institutions have different application processes and the entrance test is only one aspect of this. Please refer to the individual websites of participating institutions for details of their admissions process and degree requirements.

Applicants will have to individually apply to each institution that they are interested in.

Ø       MSc Wildlife Biology & Conservation: Indian nationals who have a Bachelors degree in any discipline (with a minimum of 50% in core subjects), less than 35 years of age as on July 1, 2014 and a strong interest in wildlife research and conservation. Graduate nationals of South and Southeast Asian countries, with similar qualifications, are also eligible to apply.

APPLICATION FEE (Non-Refundable): Rs 500/- for applications submitted online and Rs 550/- for applications sent manually by post. Female candidates are exempted from payment of application fee. Payment can be made online by Credit/Debit cards OR by Demand Draft drawn on State Bank of India.
DD to be drawn in favour of "National Centre for Biological Sciences" payable at Bengaluru. Hall Tickets will be issued only after receipt of application fee. UPSC Indian Economic Service (IES) Indian Statistical Service (ISS) Examination 2013

Online applications have been invited from eligible candidates by the Union Public Service Commission for the Indian Economic Service (IES) and Indian Statistical Service Examination (ISS), 2013, a combined examination for recruitment to grade IV of the services.

The combined examinations are held to choose eligible candidates for grade IV services. There are 30 vacancies for Indian Economic Service and 36 vacancies for Indian Statistical Services. 3 vacancies have been reserved for Physically Handicapped candidates with hearing impairment, cerebral palsy or locomotors disability for ISS and one vacancy for IES. The number of vacancies can be altered as per requirement by the norms of Government of India.

Eligibility Criteria

Age Limits:

The candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years on the 1st August, 2013 i.e. he/ she must have been born not earlier than 2nd August, 1983 and not later than 1st August, 1992. The Upper age limit is relaxable for candidates belonging to scheduled castes/scheduled tribes/ other backward classes and certain other categories.

Educational Qualification:

Candidates who are studying in final year Degree Course and have yet to pass final year degree examination or equivalent examination can also apply for examination, but they will be required to submit proof of passing by the specified dates published in Commission's Notice for Examination.

Physical Standards:

Candidates must be physically fit according to physical standards for admission to Indian Economic Service / Indian Statistical Service Examination, 2013 as per Regulations.
