Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET) 2014



Central Universities Common Entrance Test commonly known as CUCET is conducted for admission to Integrated / Under-graduate, Post-graduate and Research Programmes in 7 Centres Universities given below:

Eligibility:
For Undergraduate / Integrated: Candidates should have passed 10 + 2 examination in relevant discipline with 50% of marks from any of the recognized board of examinations.
For Postgraduate: Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline with 50% of marks from any of the recognized Universities.
For admission to all Integrated /Undergraduate programmes CUCET tests be based on the standard expect at 12th Standard
For postgraduate programmes, the subject related questions will be based on undergraduate/degree level syllabus
For research programmes knowledge at post-graduate level and JRF/NET
CUCET will be objective type multiple choice questions based test
However certain courses have additional screening process such as interviews/group discussion etc where applicable

Karnataka Common Entrance Test 2014

·         Candidates must download the Bank Challan and pay the application fees in any one of the banks - State Bank of Mysore, Indian Bank and Central Bank of India.
·         Candidates can avail the application forms from their respective schools, colleges in Karnataka after submitting the KEA copy of the bank challan.
·         They should fill all the particulars in this form and must affix their left hand thumb impression in the space provided in KCET 2014 Application Form.
·         They should submit the duly filled in Application Form of Karnataka CET 2014 to the principal of their respective colleges, schools.
·         After submitting, candidates must collect their KCET 2014 Admit Cards from the respective colleges, schools on the specified dates (Mid April, 2014 tentatively).

Uttar Pradesh Technical University (UPTU), Lucknow would conduct State Entrance Examination known as UPSEE for admission to Govt.-aided institutions and Private Unaided institutions affiliated to UPTU, and some other state universities of Uttar Pradeshforthesession2014-2015 in:

Admission into Five year Integrated BA, LLB (Hons.) and BBA, LLB (Hons) is based on entrance test. To be eligible a candidate should have passed higher secondary school/ intermediate examination (10+2) or its equivalent examination with not less than 50% marks in aggregate (45% in case of SC/ST and persons with disability). The test venue addresses and timing will be available on the hall ticket. The hall ticket can only be generated once a student has registered for the test and made the payment by credit card as per the timelines given below.
The Entrance test conducted by SP Jain is intended to test a student's IQ, mathematical ability, logic and reasoning capacity, and general awareness. The paper would be divided into different sections based on these areas. The test is for a duration of 1 hour. The format of the test may change from time to time but the testing would be on the mentioned parameters. The Entrance test will be a paper based test. There is negative marking - different questions may have a different scale of negative marking, and this would be taken into account while calculating a student's score. We do not have sectional cut offs, we expect the overall score to meet our cut off.

NATA 2014, National Aptitude Test in Architecture 2014

National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) is being conducted by the Council of Architecture, being the competent & final authority for the purpose of fixing norms and standards for architectural institutions and having the necessary expertise to hold a Common Aptitude Test in Architecture, at national level to provide a single window system for appearing in aptitude test and to facilitate institutions, students and public at large for admission to First year of 5 year BArch Degree Course at all recognized Institutions all over country.
NATA is being conducted in terms of the provisions laid down under CoA (Minimum Standards of Architectural Education) Regulations, 1983 [published in the Gazette of India in Part III, Section 4 on 26th March, 1983 and 27th August, 1983] and the Revised Guidelines on Admission to 1st year of Five-year Degree Course in Architecture approved by the Council at its 45th Meeting held on 28.04.2006. These Guidelines stipulate that a separate aptitude test in Architecture should be conducted and such test should not be combined with the tests for admissions to Engineering, Pharmacy, Medicine and other disciplines. The Hon'ble Supreme Court of India, in the matter of PA Inamdar & Ors. Vs. State of Maharashtra & Ors. [Appeal (Civil) 5041 of 2005], in its Judgement dated 12.08.2005 also emphasised on the need for a common entrance test followed by a single window system.
